How much time does it take?
Writing a book? Start with at least eight chapter ideas and spend about 3–4 minutes talking about each one. Work at your own pace, make changes as you go, and come back whenever you like. You're always in control of your book.
Already have a finished book? You've already done the hard part. Upload your manuscript and follow a few quick steps to bring your book to life.
Do I have to write anything?
No. You can talk, type, or upload material you've already written, including notes, ideas, or a partial manuscript. We'll help turn your own words into chapters you can review, edit, and make your own.

How long can my book be?
Writing a book? That's up to you. Your book starts with what you share, and you can make it as short or as detailed as you like with help from our editor. Your book can hold up to 100,000 words.
Already have a finished book? There's no length requirement or limit. Bring your book as it is.
What if I've already written my book?
Perfect. We won't rewrite your manuscript. We'll turn it into an audiobook in your chosen voice, create your Author Twin so readers can ask questions about your book, and give your book a home on your author page.
What is an Author Twin?
Your Author Twin lets readers ask questions about your book and hear the answers in your voice. It's built from your own words, ideas, and expertise, so your readers can keep learning from you long after the last page.
Will the audiobook and Author Twin really sound like me?
Yes. We create a voice from your own recordings so readers can hear your book and your Author Twin in your voice. If it doesn't sound quite right at first, you can improve it. You can add or replace recordings in My Voice until you're happy with how it sounds.
Who owns the book?
You do, completely. Sell it here, sell it on Kindle, hand it to a publisher, give it away. We take no rights in your work.
What do I earn when someone buys my book?
You earn money when readers purchase your book or a package that lets them spend more time with your Author Twin.
Book + Audiobook ($5.99): You earn $1.00.
Voice package ($8.99): You earn $1.60.
Video package ($16.99): You earn $3.20 if you offer the optional Video Twin.
Your share is 20% of each purchase after the first $1.
Can I edit my book?
Yes. When creating your book, you can review, edit, and expand your chapters as much as you want, with help from our editor whenever you need it. Nothing gets published until you approve it.
Can I choose my book cover?
Yes. Your free package includes three cover designs to choose from, or you can upload your own. Want more options? You'll have more cover designs to choose from after purchase.
